But with canva premade templates, it’s actually pretty simple once you know the technique! In this quick guide, I’ll walk you through step-by-step how to make a booklet in Canva using premade templates.

How To Make a Booklet In Canva (Step By Step)
Follow the below steps to make a booklet in Canva:
1. Select a Template
Log in or sign up to the Canva website to get access to the Canva homepage.
Search for ‘Business Booklet’ from the search bar located in the middle of the Canva homepage.
Now Canva’s library of pre-made templates will open in front of you. Scroll through the options and click on the template that you would like to work on.
Then click on the ‘Customize This Template’ button to open your design in the Canva editor.
2. Customize Your Template
When the template opens in the Canva editor, start customizing each element of your template according to your liking.
a) Add Your Branding
Adding your branding to your booklet means adding the company’s logo, colors, etc.
To add the logo of your company, firstly you have to delete the existing one on your design.
Click on the existing logo from the top left corner of the page and then press the ‘Delete’ key from your keyboard.
The existing logo will get deleted in front of you.
Click on the ‘Uploads’ button from the left sidebar and then on the ‘Upload Files’ button to upload your company’s logo from your computer.
Then drag and drop the uploaded logo on the design.
Now drag the ‘Resizing’ handles of the logo inwards to make it smaller in size. So, that it can easily be placed in the top left corner of the page.
After resizing the logo, position it in the left top corner.
After adding the company’s logo, we have to start adding the company’s colors to the booklet.
For example, my company’s colors are pink, blank, and white. So, I will customize all the elements on the booklet according.
To change the color of the text, click on your desired text element and then on the ‘Text Color’ button from the top toolbar.
Now click on your company’s color to change the existing color of the text.
For example, I will change the color of my red text element to pink. So, that it can match with my company’s theme.
If you want to change the color of a decorative element, click on it and then on the ‘Color’ button from the top toolbar.
Again, from the color panel on the left-hand side, click on your company’s color and the color of the element will get changed in front of you.
Now the only thing left to do is change the color of the image.
Click on the image and then on the ‘Edit Photo’ button from the top of the screen. Scroll through the ‘Fx Effects’ section and then click on the ‘Duotone’ effect.
From the new menu, click on the effect that matches your company’s colors to add it to your image.
For example, I will click on the ‘Blush’ effect because it will overlay the image with a pink color which is exactly what I need.
After clicking on an effect, a few controllers will appear at the bottom of the selected effect.
If you want to change the opacity of the effect, drag the ‘Intensity’ slider towards the left-hand side and the opacity of the effect will decrease in front of you.
Now it looks like an amazing first page, isn’t it?
b) Replace Images
You can change the color of the photo’s that you want to keep in your booklet but what about the photo’s that you don’t need?
Well, don’t worry, you can easily replace it!
For example, on the ‘CEO Statement’ page, you have to replace the photo of the unknown man with your company’s CEO.
In that case, click on the photo that you want to replace and then press the ‘Delete’ key from your keyboard to delete the selected image.
Now then follow the same procedure mentioned earlier to upload your CEO’s photo in Canva.
Then drag and drop that uploaded image over the empty frame.
If you think that the added image is not positioned properly inside the frame, then double-click on it.
Now drag the image from left to right or top to bottom, until you get the desired part of the image on the frame.
After repositioning your image inside the frame, click anywhere on the design to get your screen back to normal.
c) Edit Text Elements
After replacing the unwanted images on your design, we can start with editing the text elements.
Double-click on your desired text element, and press the ‘Backspace’ key from your keyboard to remove the already existing text.
And then type the new message in the empty text box.
If you want to change the font style, font size, text color, etc. of the text element, take the help of the top toolbar.
However, there are some elements on the booklet that you would like to make clickable.
For example, On the contact page, I want to make the email, phone no, and website address clickable.
In that case, click on the text element ones, and then press Ctrl + K from your keyboard.
Now a box will appear in front of you, enter the link of the website that you want people to get redirected to. Then press the ‘Enter’ key from your keyboard.
The selected text will get underlined in front of you indicating that the link is successfully inserted.
Note: Make all the contact details clickable to make navigation easier for the readers.
3. Download/ Print Your Booklet
After customizing your booklet, you can proceed with printing or saving the booklet on your computer.
a) Print The Booklet
If you want to print your booklet from Canva, click on the ‘Share’ button from the top right corner of the screen and then on the ‘Print Your Design’ button.
Then Canva will ask you to choose a design type from the new menu, and click on the one according to your preference.
b) Download The Booklet
If you simply want to download your booklet from Canva, click on the ‘Share’ button from the top right corner of the screen and then on the ‘Download’ button.
From the download setting, set your file type to ‘PDF Standard’. Make sure that the ‘Flatten PDF’ box is unchecked, or else it will make your design unclickable.
Click on the ‘Select Pages’ button and set it to ‘All Pages’. So, that all the pages get downloaded on your computer.
And then click on the ‘Download’ button at the end.
