To download a video project from canva onto your device, just click on the “Share” button located at the upper right corner of your Canva video project. After that, click “Download” from the dropdown menu. Select the file format as MP4, and then click on the “Download” button again, and your video will start downloading.

Downloading Videos From Canva (Step By Step Guide)

Step 1: Open Canva and Login/Signup

To get started, open the Canva website and log in to your account. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for free. Once you’re logged in, you’ll be taken to the homepage where you can choose a video template.

Step 2: Choose/Create a Video Template

When you are on the Canva homepage, you can either create a new blank video template by clicking on the “Video” section and selecting a template from there.

Or you can also open your existing video from your recent designs section.

Step 3: Edit/Customize Your Video

Before downloading the video, if you want to customize it, you can do that using the Canva video editor.

You can edit the text, add slides, add transitions and animations, replace the images, etc.

Step 4: Preview Your Video Before Exporting

When you are done with the editing, it’s always a good idea to preview it to make sure everything looks the way you want it to before downloading it.

You can preview your video by clicking on the “Play” button in the top right corner of the editor screen.

Step 5: Click Share and Download/Export Your Video

To download your video from Canva, click on the “Share” button in the top right corner of the screen.

From there, you have to click on the “Download” button and after clicking on the download button you’ll see some options:

  • File Type: The format in which you want to download your video, Mp4 is suggested
  • Select Pages: Select the pages that you want to include inside your video file, if you want them all, just tick “All Pages”

After selecting File Type and the Pages, you just have to click the blue Download button and that’s it, your video will start processing.

You can see the progress at the bottom right corner of the screen.

If your video has a lot of pages, it may take a while to finish processing so do not panic.

How To Download Video From Canva Link

Got a canva link for a video template from your team member and now looking for a way to download it. 

Well, to download Canva videos from a canva link shared by your team member, you must be a registered Canva user means you must already have a Canva account, free or pro both will work.

Also, the person sharing the video link with you needs to give you permission to “Edit” it so you can download it.

If you don’t have a Canva account yet, Canva users can still share designs with you, and you can watch those videos. However, if you want to download those videos, you’ll need to create a Canva account.

Remember, you can only download a design if the person who shared it with you has allowed you to “Edit” it.

Yes, even as a free Canva user, you can easily download videos.
