Follow the below steps to learn how to curve a line in Canva:

1. Visit Canva Website

Visit Canva website.

If you already have a Canva account, click on the ‘Log In’ button from the top right corner of your screen and then log in using your email address and password.

If not, then you can quickly sign up for a free account by clicking on the ‘Sign Up’ button from the same right corner of the screen.

2. Create or Open a Design Type

After logging in or signing up, you will be directed to the Canva homepage.

On the Canva homepage, you will see a ‘Create a Design’ button on the top right corner of the screen. Click on it to open a new menu of various design types.

You can either use the top search bar to search for the design type you want such as ‘Instagram Post’, ‘Flyer’, ‘Banner’, ‘Presentation’, etc.

Or you can scroll through the options in front of you to find a design type that suits your needs. Once you’ve found a design type that you like, click on it.

Note: for this tutorial, it does not matter what design type you choose as curved lines can be created in any design.

3. Add Or Create Curved lines On Your Design

After opening a design type in Canva, you will be directed to the Canva editor.

Now there are two ways to add or create curved lines to your design, so let’s have a look at each method one by one:

a) Use Premade Curved Line Elements

Click on the ‘Elements’ button from the left sidebar.

As a result of which Canva’s wide library of elements will open.

Use the top search bar and search for the ‘Curved Line’ keyword and Canva will then display various curved lines that you can use for your design.

Click on the ‘Graphics’ button below the search bar to view all the curved lines.

Make sure to browse through all the options and then click on the curved line that you like the best.

Once you click on the curve line, it will get added to the blank canvas in front of you.

To make your design stand out from the crowd, you can also add multiple curved lines and then connect them to form a creative design.

For example, you can add two curved lines from the elements section and then use the ‘Rotate’ button of one of the curved lines to rotate it at 180 degrees.

Now join one end of the rotated curved line with the other end of the second curved line.

As a result of which a wave-like design will form in front of you.

b) Create Your Own Curved Line

If you are not satisfied with the existing curved lines in the elements section then you can also create your own curved lines.

Click on the ‘Elements’ button from the left sidebar and then search for ‘Circular Outline’ from the top search bar.

As a result of which various options will appear in front of you, click on a circular outline you like the best to add to your canvas.

Now again click on the ‘Elements’ button to search for a ‘Circle’ from the top search bar. This time we need a normal circle, click on the one you like and add it to the design.

Once the circle is on your design, click on the ‘Color’ button from the top toolbar to change the color of the circle.

As a result of which the color menu will open in front of you.

Make sure to set the color of the normal circle similar to your background.

In this case, your background is white, so we will click on the ‘White’ color from the color menu.

As a result of which the circle will become invisible.

Now you will be having two elements on your canvas (one will be a circular outline and one will be a normal circle).

While pressing the left button of your mouse, drag the white color circle halfway over the circular outline.

It will basically hide a portion of your circular outline, giving it an appearance of a curve line.

Note: Create as many circular lines as you want by following the step above.

4. Save Your Design

After creating curve lines, it is time to save the design on your desktop.

Click on the ‘Share’ button from the top right corner of the screen and then on the ‘Download’ button.

As a result of which download settings will open. Set the file type to ‘PNG’ or ‘JPG’ and then click on the ‘Download’ button at the end.

Now Canva will start preparing your file for downloading.
