How To Get Metallic Colors In Canva (Step By Step)
Here are the steps that you can follow to get metallic colors in Canva:
1. Open a Design Type
Firstly, visit Canva and log in to your account. Once you’re logged in or signed up on Canva, you’ll get directed to the Canva homepage.
From the Canva homepage, click on the ‘Create a Design’ button from the top right corner.
A menu of various design types will open in front of you, such as banners, presentations, business cards, Instagram stories, etc.
If you’re not satisfied with the popular design types shown, you can use the top search bar to find your specific design preference
Once you find a design type that you wish to work on, click on it and you will be redirected to a blank Canvas with dimensions that you have chosen.
2. Add Letter Frames
So we have now created a blank canvas, and now we can start adding our alphabet frames Oh Btw, Do you know what are alphabet frames in Canva?
Click on the ‘Elements’ button from the left sidebar.
Now a new menu with various element categories will open in front of you such as shapes, graphics, stickers, etc.
Search for ‘Letters’ from the top search bar. And then click on the ‘See All’ button opposite to the frames sections.
Now you will see a variety of Alphabet frames.
Scroll down the menu and click on the letter frames that you like the most to add them to your design.
Once you have a letter frame on your design, drag its corners to ‘Resize’ the element.
Drag the corners outwards to make your element bigger in size or drag the corners inwards to make the element smaller in size.
After resizing the letter frame, drag it to its respective place.
Then from the same menu, click on another letter frame to add it to your design.
Now again resize and position the second letter frame on your design.
3. Add Metallic Color To Your Letters
After adding and positioning all the letter frames on your design, we can start adding the metallic effect to them. How are we gonna do that? Keep reading…
Click on the ‘Apps’ button from the left sidebar and then scroll down to click on the ‘Photos’ button.
Now Canva’s wide library of stock images will open in front of you. From the top search bar, search for ‘Metallic’.
Then drag the drop, the metallic image that you like the most on one of the frames.
If you want to adjust the brightness, contrast, or shadows of the image then click on the image ones and then on the ‘Edit Photo’ button from the top toolbar.
Click on the ‘Adjust’ button from the new left-side menu. Now you will get access to various editing tools to adjust your image to your liking.
Feel free to drag the slider (left or right) of any adjustment that you want to apply.
Once you are done editing your image, click on the ‘Copy Style’ button from the top toolbar.
Now while pressing the left button of your mouse, drag your cursor over the remaining empty letter frames.
As a result of which now your empty letter frames will also get the same style.
4. Download Your Design
After adding metallic color to your letter frames, click on the ‘Share’ button from the top right corner of the screen and then on the ‘Download’ button.
As a result download settings will open in front of you.
Now you can set your file type to PNG and click on the ‘Download’ button again at the end.
Canva will start preparing your design for downloading.

Does Canva Have Metallic Colors?
No, Canva does not have metallic colors. Canva only offers standard colors such as red, blue, green, etc.
Metallic colors like gold, silver, or bronze are not provided by Canva yet.
To give your letters a metallic color, firstly add letter frames from the elements section to your design, and then from Canva’s pre-made photo library, drag and drop the metallic images in the frames.
How Do You Get Glitter Color On Canva?
To get glitter color on Canva, click on the ‘Elements’ button from the left sidebar.
Then search for ‘Letter Frames’ from the top search bar. Keep adding, resizing, and positioning the letter frames on your design to form a word.
Once you have your letter frames ready, click on the ‘Photos’ button to get access to Canva stock photos.
Now search for ‘Glitter’ from the top search bar and then drag and drop your desired glitter images on the letter frames.
