How To Replace Image In Canva (Step By Step)
Below is the step-by-step guide on how to replace images in Canva:
1. Open Your Design
Go to the Canva website and then open the design whose image you want to replace from the Canva homepage.
To open your design, go to the ‘Recent Design’ section on the Canva homepage and scroll through all the designs on which you have worked in the past.
Then click on the design you wish to continue editing, and the design will open in the Canva editor.
2. Replace Your Design
Once you have your design in front of you, it is time to first find an image to replace the existing one.
To find an image from Canva’s wide collection of photos, click on the ‘Elements’ button from the left sidebar.
Then search for your specific image on the top search bar.
For example, my design is related to real estate so I will be searching for a ‘House’ photo to replace the existing one.
Then when Canva shows you various options, click on the ‘Photos’ button to get access to Canva stock photos.
Once you find a photo you like, drag it above the existing image and it will automatically get replaced.
Or if you are not satisfied with the Canva stock photos then you can also upload your own by clicking on the ‘Uploads’ button and then on the ‘Upload Files’ button.
Now upload your file from your computer, and then drag that image above the existing one from the upload library to replace it.
Note: you can choose to firstly, delete the picture. To do that, click on the image and then press the ‘Delete’ key from your keyboard. And then add the image to the frame as you normally do.
3. Adjust Your Image
After replacing your image, you can also adjust the image according to your liking.
Double-click on your image, as a result of which a boundary box will appear around it.
To reposition your image, while clicking the left button of your mouse drag the image right or left until you get your desired part of the image inside the frame.
Or if you want to adjust the image then double-click on it to open a left menu in front of you.
Now click on the ‘Adjust’ button from the new menu to get access to editing options like brightness, contrast, shadows, etc.
Now to apply an adjustment, drag the slider toward the right side, and to decrease the adjustment, drag the slider toward the left side.
4. Download Your Design
Once you are done replacing your images and want to save your design to your computer.
Then click on the ‘Share’ button from the top right corner of the screen and it will open a new menu in front of you.
Click on the ‘Download’ button from the new menu to open downloading settings.
Now set the file type PNG to preserve the photo quality and then hit on the ‘Download’ button again at the bottom to start the downloading process.
