Open\/ Create a Design Type<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canva.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Canva website<\/strong><\/a> and then log in or sign up to get redirected to the Canva homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to slice an image of an existing design then look for the <strong>\u2018Recent Designs\u2019<\/strong> section on the Canva homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section contains all your past projects. In that case, click on the \u2018<strong>Create a Design\u2019<\/strong> button from the top right corner of the Canva homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A menu with various design types will open in front of you. Click on the design type according to your preference and you will get redirected to the blank canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Note<\/strong>: I will be opening a recent design for this tutorial.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Revert_Back_To_Old_Editor\"><\/span>2. Revert Back To Old Editor<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your design opens in the Canva editor, click on the photo that you want to slice and a top toolbar will appear in front of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Note<\/strong>: If your design does not have an image. Slice Your Image<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now your screen will get back to normal, Again click on the image and on the \u2018<strong>Edit Photo\u2019<\/strong> button from the top toolbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scroll through the old editor and then click on the \u2018<strong>Slice<\/strong>\u2019 button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img you can click on each slice effect to see how it looks on your image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, the thumbnail of the \u2018<strong>Sliced<\/strong>\u2019 effect looks interesting, so let\u2019s
