Follow the below steps to learn how to erase the parts of the picture in Canva:

1. Open Canva Website

Search for the Canva website.

And then look for the ‘Log In’ or ‘Sign In’ button in the top right corner of the screen.

If you have an existing Canva account, click on the ‘Log In’ button.

Or if you are new to Canva and don’t have an account, click on the ‘Sign Up’ button.

After logging in or signing up on Canva, you’ll be directed to your Canva homepage.

2. Open Design Type

After getting directed to the Canva homepage, it is time to open a design type for your project.

To open a design type, click on the ‘Create a Design’ button from the top right corner of the screen.

search for banner

And a new menu with various design types will appear in front of you, search for your desired design type from the top search bar.

Note: You can erase the unwanted parts of the picture in every design type. So, for this tutorial, I will be searching for the Banner (landscape) design type.

Now Canva will show you various design types related to the one which you searched for earlier. Click on the design type which you search for.

As a result of which you will be further directed to a blank canvas.

3. Add an Image On Your Design

After getting directed to the blank canvas, you have to add an image on your design that you want to erase.

If that photo is saved on your computer, then you have to upload it on Canva by clicking on the ‘Uploads’ button from the left sidebar.

Now the uploads menu will open, click on the ‘Upload Files’ button to browse through your computer’s files and select the image you want to upload.

Then click on the ‘Open’ button from the right bottom corner to start the uploading process.

Once the image gets uploaded on Canva, it will show under your upload library. Click on the image to add it to your design.

If you want to erase the parts of a Canva stock photo, then click on the ‘Apps’ button from the left sidebar and scroll down to click on the ‘Photos’ button.

For Example, I will be erasing the hat of the woman which she holds in your hands.

If while erasing the unwanted part, you think that the brush size is too small or big, then use the ‘Brush Size’ slider below these tools to resize the brush according to your need.

Move the brush size slider towards the right side to increase the size of the brush or slide it towards the left side to decrease the size of the brush.
